I talk a little bit about my tool buying philosophy, then take the design I made for a bottle opener in a previous video and show you how I set it up and mill it- then I hit the streets to crack open a beer and test it out!

See Part 1 here:

  2. pericuno - January 5, 2021

Use refrigeration Naomi (specially for cheap mills) and a tube for better tight of the tools in the collets.
keep it up. I work on mill machines and CNCs for 25 years

  3. Heh I love all of your videos.. I do wonder though…. $10000 dollar machine for a .25 cent bottle opener 🙂

    JUST KIDDING! Very cool work!

7:40 the purpose or tapping the part down is to make sure the parallel bars don't move, so you better check if the parallel bars stand firm
7:45 ahhh you don't tap the vise handle like that, for long time it will affect the mechanism of the vise and can't hold the parts good. Better use the Torque Wrench with pre-set force (like 60lbs)

Correct on tooling. It is so easy to makes small mistakes when learning.

  7. smellsofbikes - January 5, 2021

So cool! You do a great job of explaining and based on this now I'm thinking about a Syil instead of a used machine.

  8. Nice job! Glad too see you got your x5 up and running. I have the V5, and love it so far. If you need any help or advice on it. Feel free to give me a shout. Look forward to seeing more videos in the near future!

Naomi is it okay for foreigners to come back to China. I miss it and last time I heard it wasn't favorable for foreigners to return

  10. Christian Weddeling - January 5, 2021

Don't worry about your bottle opener. My first one was a mess and i've got to open my bottle using a table edge.🙄
But i like your opinion about buying tools. First buy something that is good enough and not so expensive. So I can see if I can do the work the tool is created for and mostly I need my tools not very often. So a cheap cordless screwdriver less than 40€ will do it for years.

You're as brutally honest with yourself as you are with the products, the world can learn a lot from you. I love your style Naomi.

Not bad Naomi another great device

  13. Gforceracing20 - January 5, 2021

BETTER GRIP AT THE UNDERSIDE OF THE OPENER AND POSSIBLY A LONGER HANDLE TO GET MORE LEVERAGE.

  14. Todestelzer - January 5, 2021

I used to CNC mill a lot and one thing you should never do, i learned the hard way, is to set your zero point below the surface.
Just a heads up for people new to CNC milling.

Next time for the finish inside the can opener, finish it with A smaller end mill for A better hook finish for less struggle to open bottle. Not bad at all for A beginner. Good job.

  18. Science or Something - January 5, 2021

Refine, and test many more bottles! I always like to learn on cheaper tools that also work well before I try to invest is something more expensive.

  19. Lion Escobar - January 5, 2021

You need to add coolant for the end mill won’t crack and break. The holder is to big for that size end mill.

  20. Наоми для того что бы не портить деталь тисками можно деталь поместить в рамку!

Use of hammer remind me joke from “Armageddon” movie, then a Russian cosmonaut fix everything with hammer.

First person who said it Adam Savage from Myfhbusters: buy cheap tool to find out did you need it, if you do buy best tool you can afford. Maybe quote little bit different, but I do same even before I hear it on Adam’s channel.

  24. TheMadWookiee - January 5, 2021

Sounds like a perfect way to start learn on the less expensive tooling and you will find what you need to upgrade / replace as you gain skill

  25. Adam Maszynotwór - January 5, 2021

    dałaś radę brawo 😉

  26. lindos george - January 5, 2021

    so cute..

  27. Baldur Norddahl - January 5, 2021

running aluminium without coolant will risk chip welding and ruin the end mill

  28. acutus - January 5, 2021

Wonderful to finally see those chips fly! Looking forward to seeing your next milling project!

  29. 0relaxis0 - January 5, 2021

For such an advertisement with your bust 😉 some companies would give you the best CNC milling machine for free 🙂 you are an amazing girl, I also have two CNC milling machines…and I know how difficult is to operate such machines… We love you 🙂

Great video Naomi. I learnt a good deal of information about the CNC processing and loved watching the machine in action.
