Upgraded to 6.0.41 and it looks like I lost the ability to use simple password. It is forcing Hotspot to be used. Anyone else????
I have controller version 5.12.66 is it okay to jump straight to this version?
I have a big issue with WiFi not being consistent and devices but recognizing password 🤦♂️
i can't upgrade my UDM from Version 1.5.6.2150
Board Revision – 39
each time i run automatic upgrade it doesnt see any updates?
I Just updated finally, and wish i didn't. The Client list no longer shows what port a device is connected to! nothing in the view to show this! it just shows LAN! any fix for this? i didn't realize this till after i spent an hour and a half renaming hundreds of devices….
Hi Lawrence, what you know about "High TCP Latency and High Retries Warnings"? I have many of this in my devices connected to my IoT wireless network (2.4GHz only). I have seen many topics in Unifi Community, but any effective solution. You can help with this? Any suggestion? Many thks. 😉👍
After successful upgrade I got this message:
Your previous WLAN Override configurations are not supported by this version of UniFi Network. We recommend editing your WiFi configuration.
I don't see issues so far. Can have 2ghz and 5ghz enabled create interference?
I upgraded last night and it looks like my dashboard is reporting ~60% fewer WiFi anomalies than the last version. They really spiked after upgrading to 6.0.xx. No perceivable performance issues, though. Just an annoying dashboard experience.
This is why i run the controller in my Docker image. really easy to upgrade and down, and the upgrade is actually a new install of the new version on a new controller. keeps my sanity for sure
2 versions ago i could wirelessly mesh the APs no problem, now they cant even see each other at all!
do you have the same problem? if so? is there a fix?
I upgraded my CKP+ and I could no longer gain access to the Network Console GUI, had to restore to a backup and update back to the prior version via SSH.
Upgraded and caused a crash to where I had to factory reset and rebuild from backups. Lesson here is Unifi is pushing firmware/software to us to Alpha test their stuff. Plan on backups and local copies of EVERYTHING before trying. So disappointing.
I have my home office UDM-PRO set to auto upgrade while all my clients I update manually at a later time
Upgraded it on my CloudKey Gen2+. No problem at all including on protect. Lucky I guess.
I have tons of Mikrotik product, it's powerful and disruptive price. Why do you never review Mikrotik?
Shows i'm ok but version is 5.12.60 / UDM shows latest firmware.
Off topic, but does anyone know how in the hell to get a UniFi USG working with Cisco vlans?
“Invitation was not confirmed “ when adding admin to controller . Would this upgrade helo on solving this issue?
Hmm, all my UDM Pro devices has updated itself automatically. But automatic update is switched off.
Have they added the ability for you do manual changes to the network map?? I have a client who has about 100 Cameras and dozens of Prisms, NanoStation, and Unifi Switches, and it seems like if i have multiple switches running off of a prism because it all comes off 1 port off a main switch that the prism is connected to it shows they are connected elsewhere. I mainly use UNMS to make the map since those can be made manually and have every device on the network there just i have to fill in hostname for everything which sucks.
Could you do a vid on implementing IPV6? or discuss why or why not to bother?
I tried the new UI for 5 minutes, hated the firewall rules section, Love my USG, no major issues so far, but I am new
After the last update and the fact that they screwed up all of the button and column text (why did they revert to using straight enum values?!?!) I said screw it and am swapping out my home gear to Ruckus R310's.
I'm going backwards a bit on the main AP which was a UAP-AC-HD, however, I just don't care. I've had a R310 now for about a week and the other 4 should be showing up shortly.
I won't miss UniFi and can't wait to swap out our 2 offices at work replacing the UAP's with Ruckus and last USG 4 Pro with another Untangle box.
I was a HUGE Ubiquiti fan but the direction they are going isn't one that I want to continue following. The only Ubiquiti product that I will keep using (besides the NanoStation) is the ES-16-XG which is my core router at home as there's just nothing else besides Mikrotik that can compete price wise. The Mikrotik falls flat on it's face though if you try to do L3 on it.
