Large Panel Antenna for long range
⬇️More INFO below⬇️

If you need to be able to send uncompressed 10bit 422 HD video from multiple cameras then you should look into the new system that I got from CineGears, which is the Two in One 2000M Full-HD Wireless Video Transmission Kit. I also paired it with the large panel antenna from CineGears which will extend the range of this wireless video system up to 3300 feet. As you can see in my tests I didn’t even get to test it to it’s full range because it was simply way too far for me to go that far away. I really did not see the need to ever need to be able to transmit video at such a range. This whole kit will work great if you are doing a typical film production but even more importantly when you are working on a live event like a sport event where you need multiple cameras in different parts of a stadium to send the signal to the video switcher for live editing.

Excellent video! Can you view on your iPhone? And will it work through heavy trees?

I'm trying to set up a camera 2,000ft away from my house so I can check the waves from home. At camera location I have no power or WiFi. Is this going to be my best option do you think??

If i'd like to use it for putting on an RC scale airplane how much will be the range? .. You should do some test with a helium balloon would be great and extreme video

  4. it's possible to make 200 km -300 km video transmission??

  5. kenneth price - January 14, 2021

    Ridiculously overpriced

Hie Tom, I will be streaming football matches online from the ground and I need to know how to send camera footage to desktop wirelessly or wired, some affordable options. BeamLink and similar are a bit costly for me to invest.

Can you say guys and gals instead of guys? I’m definitely a gal and not a guy. Or better yet, people?

  8. Eric Braun - January 14, 2021

Don't really see why anyone would want to transmit a video signal that far? Drones… looking for a long distance drone system that's less than $10k.

Do you know what technology the International Space station uses to send videosignals back to earth?
They are about 1312336 feet up in space.

Unbelievable long range 1600feets thank you for share my dear

Hi I have this project of sending a plane with a weather balloon to the stratosphere at about 130,000 feet roughly 40 km and keeping track with Fpv video, what do you recommend for me to use in terms of Fpv very long range video immersion very long range osd that will provide me the video immersing , very long range GPS tracker very long range transmitter so I could control the plane and what kind of antennas and ground station would you recommend? is it necessary to have an antenna tracker for Fpv and transmitter receiver and GPS
My ojective is to not lose any connection during the ascent and decent whats so ever, what would you use for this type of very long range and altitude
    Regards

A comparison between the huge antenna and the small antenna would have been nice. Also, the lag is huge and would be hard to wireless focus using it ! I currently work with a Nyrius HDMI wireless, and the range won't be as good, but the receiver is small. I have velcro tape on it, and velcro tape on a NPF battery attached to a feelworld monitor so it small and can be held 1 and. Also the lag isn't too bad and you can remote focus using it. I wish the Nyrius would have SDI input version, and have the options to have multiple receiver. So I can give a wireless feed to the director, and to the boom operator at the same time. Now, I can actually do it by buying 2 Nyrius which would be lot cheaper and smaller than this product 😉 For the price +3k$, I would expect a lower latency mode. I just looked up quickly their product and the Wireless 600MP kit seem a much more interesting offer ( for me) in term of price and form factor (even if it big, it have v-mount passthough). Now if the video lag is the same over hdmi, then it not really interesting.

In theory, do you think i can go from the receiver, (sdi) out to a switcher, for a multi cam live shoot..? for example BMD atem

Great review. What about the picture quality? I am considering to buy this kit, but not sure if the quality is comparable which wired solutions. Thank you

Thats what you call long range?
How about if i want to send a weather balloon to the stratosphere via fpv ? Any ideas?

have you or anyone else had or have editing issues with 10 bit 4:2:2from the Panasonic gh5? Do you need10 bit video card?
Saw your review on this camera and the difference between rolling shutter and global shutter system with the old black magic 4k. just asking because I'm still deciding between gh5 and the latest bmpcc 4k before I read the editing complaints

I swear I just seen you walking past my house in England, he looked like you…keep walking the seas close..lol

  20. MetroEast - January 14, 2021

Crazy that it has that kind of range. These always have a bit of latency of it is really nice gear,

  21. der Ryk1 - January 14, 2021

Thank you Tom good information as always.

  22. Jacob Roberts - January 14, 2021

Tom, please ask someone to stay with the antenna and receiver. If you are 1,600 feet away, then someone may come along, see that there is nobody watching it, and steal the unit.

  23. Jackalope B - January 14, 2021

Tom, did you test it with the Atomos? Curious if you could still record or if you would go to the Atomos first and then output to the wireless?

  24. ASMITH HANSDA - January 14, 2021

Hey tom please test Vaxis wireless video transmission system. I've to buy a video transmission system but I'm confused. Vaxis had 180m, 500m, 600m and 1000m systems with zero delay. Please please bring a video on this topic. Loved your video man! Love from India.🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳

  25. Al Phalcon - January 14, 2021

Great stuff Tom! Does the SDI connection lag as much as the HDMI?

  26. Patrick Luisier - January 14, 2021

Hi Tom. Thanks once again for these tests.
This one is really interesting because it is not even really expensive.
BUT did you test it through walls ? I guess it will not work that way isn't it ?
I often need to film a children show and send the main picture back to a classroom nearby
so the children waiting for their turn can easily and quietly wait while looking at the show
    on a screen or beamer.
So, could you be kind enough to check if the transmitter is in one closed room,
would the receiver (antenna) being in another closed room nearby receive anything ??
I know it would be magic. But if both are at 80 or 100 feet far, maybe it's still OK….
    Thanks
    Patrick

Surprised the antenna isn't curved to give wider coverage – or a mix of yagi and helical antennas. Quadcopter pilots kit is likely similar with antenna hopping systems on 5.8 and 2.4 GHz etc.

LOL, it's funny, I love your videos but I always talk to myself before I push play: Ok, he's got rich-professional people's gear, don't feel bad.

What about audio? Does it transmit audio?

    Awesome bit of kit 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

  31. Rodney Schmidt - January 14, 2021

Really incredible… As you said, you probably wouldn't have to go that far, but it's nice to know if you did, you are still connected.
