On this episode of the Ultimate Tech Hub we will install & review Reolinks 5 mega pixel Super HD PoE Dome IP Security cameras as well as the Reolink 2TB NVR system. We will unbox the cameras and the NVR system and go over all of the details. We will then install the cameras and the NVR. Next we will give our complete review. Ultimate Tech Hub is NOT a paid sponsor for Reolink. Our review of this IP PoE Security Camera system is completely unbiased. We purchased all 6 cameras and the NVR for a little over $400. However the price has gone up since we purchased it back in March. We purchased the 4 PoE Cameras with the 2tb NVR for $319.00 and the 2 additional cameras for $49.99 each for a total of $419.00 before tax. The 4 Camera bundle is now priced at $429.00. We still consider this a good deal and a great value. Here is a video link to set up the Reolink Client Software for you PC, Mac or tablet. If you plan on terminating the Cat6 cables please watch my video to learn how to make the cables correctly. If you have any questions please them in the comments down below. Hi @Ultimate Tech Hub, If I bought this system and maxed out the 8 wired connections, Is there a way with the addition of a Poe smart ethernet hub to add more cameras?

  2. Monty Carlow - July 30, 2020

I fitted this exact same system two weeks ago and it works just great with excellent quality using the cables supplied….its great value and easy to install, the app works really well too!

Also you should use the dome cameras for patios or inside should of used the bullet cameras for these angles…just saying!

Nice informative video but your installation was horrible. You should of installed the camera under the soffit or on the trim! Too much exposed wiring the jacks should of been hidden inside the attic. 10 years of security camera installation experience…

How is night vision quality ?

I gave you a thumbs up but thank god you do not do this for a living…Ugly. Camera's should have been put on the fascia with no wires showing. You could have drilled a hole through the fascia board..Clean. Now you have a wire showing from the camera to the stucco. I have the same system easy install but to do a clean job took over 10 hours but clean. Your house is expensive like mine no need to ruin the looks of it. I ask my wife who is a designer for houses what is wrong with this install from looking at it first thing she said the wire from the camera to the stucco….Well enjoy thought I would just mention it…

Any good deal on 16 channel NVR? I am planning on setting up 8 cameras and it seems stupid to get NVR that can only support 8 cameras.

Reolink is a Chinese company and live views go by their server. It’s not secure unless you block internet access via your router firewall.

I have a Reolink system and block it. I can connect to my home router via it’s built in VPN so I can view the cameras whilst directly connected to my own lan.

Not a bad install, my only recommendation is adding some conduit to protect the exposed wires.

  11. G-Man M - July 30, 2020

I added this same system to my home as well and love it!! Very easy to install!!
